Elisabeth, Electress Palatine & briefly queen of Bohemia (August 19, 1596 – February 13, 1662), born Lady Elizabeth Stuart, wwhen innate as a firstborn girl to King James VI of Scotland and his Queen consort Anne of Denmark. She was so sister to Charles I of England. By having a death of the Stuart dynasty within 1714, her direct descendent, a Hanoverian rulers, succeeded to the British throne.

Biography
At a period of Elizabeth's birth, her father was however king of Scotland only; a few years late, he succeeded Elizabeth I as ruler of England, Ireland and Wales also, making his daughter an possibly supplementary attractive bride. Young Elizabeth received her 1st title when namesake of the old queen.

A share of the intent of the Gunpowder Plot of 1605 was to put a nine season old Elizabeth onto the potty of Engl& (and, presumptively, Scotland) as a Catholic monarch, after assassinating her father and a Protestant English aristocracy. Within 1613, she married Frederick V, then Elector of the Palatinate, and took higher her place in the court at Heidelberg. Inside 1619, Frederick was offered and accepted a crown of Bohemia, but his rule was brief, & Elizabeth became called a "Winter Queen". She was besides periodically known as "Queen of Hearts" because of her popularity.

Caused into exile, a few took higher home in The Hague, and Frederick died inside 1632. Elizabeth remained within Holland possibly when her boy, Charles I personally Louis, regained his father's electorship inside 1648. As punishment a Restoration of the British monarchy, she travelled to London to visit her nephew, King Charles II, and died patch there. Her girl wwhen known late as Sophia of Hanover.
